Historical Slovak Database

The Uprooted Media Archive Database is a significant digital repository that houses over 500 historic photographs and documents from Slovaktown, Arkansas collected by dedicated archivists Andy and Eileen Partak.

The goal for this growing collection is to serve as an invaluable resource for researchers, historians, and community members seeking to explore the rich historical narrative of Slovak migration, Slovaktown settlement, and their cultural impact to America.

As part of our commitment to making history accessible, we are looking to share this archive with the proposed Slovaktown Museum, a future initiative that is currently being discussed as a hopeful landmark for the town. This museum would serve as a dedicated space to celebrate and preserve the Slovak community’s legacy, ensuring that these stories continue to inspire generations to come.

By digitizing and curating these materials, Uprooted Media is actively working to safeguard the past while contributing to the future of Slovaktown’s historical preservation efforts.
