Slovak Americans of Washington & Oregon
UpRooted Media board members Deah Partak and Jen Hopkins co-host the Slovak Americans of Washington & Oregon group. Founded in 2022, this community was created as a welcoming space for Slovak descendants and friends of Slovak culture to connect, share heritage, and support each other through the Slovak Living Abroad (SLA) and Citizenship by Descent (CBD) processes.
The group gathers throughout the year for potlucks, cultural activities, and heritage sharing. After a brief hiatus, the community is once again active and growing bringing together Slovak voices and traditions from across the Pacific Northwest.
Join us on Facebook – Slovak Americans of Washington & Oregon to hear about upcoming events, connect with local families, and be part of this revitalized heritage circle.
